Michael is a UK-based photographer with over 30 years of professional experience.
His commercial work includes commissions for the Department for the Economy and Generation Apprenticeship, alongside an established fine art and contemporary photography practice exhibited at ART13 and ART14 London, held in the DESTE Foundation for Contemporary Art and published in VICE / Creators Project.
Specialism
Michael is adaptable and works across a broad range of photographic visual styles.
However, his visual specialism is black and white photography, especially infrared imaging.
Developed over decades of artistic practice, it has become a distinctive part of his photographic language and continues to influence his commercial work where appropriate.
His primary focus is infrared fashion photography, combining contemporary luxury fashion with the unique visual qualities of infrared imaging to create original and memorable campaign imagery.
COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Approach
Every commission begins with a thorough understanding of the brief, balancing technical precision with creative judgement to produce photography that is refined, purposeful and true to the brand.
Commercial Experience
Michael has delivered photography for government departments, public sector organisations, large corporations, advertising agencies and editorial clients throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
His commissions span tourism, location, fashion, lifestyle and people, architecture, industry and infrastructure.
Projects range from national advertising campaigns and destination marketing to editorial assignments and large-scale commercial publications.
Each project is carefully planned and technically considered, producing photography tailored to the requirements of every commission.
